SOL Strategies Seeks NASDAQ Listing with SEC Request
Canadian solana Treasury firm,SOL Strategies,has filed an application with the U.S. SEC. The goal? To list on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker ‘STKE’.This move marks a notable step for the company, aiming to expand into the U.S. market.
Initially, SOL Strategies traded as ‘HODL’ on Canada’s Securities Exchange and ‘CYFRF’ on the OTCQB. On june 19, the Ontario-based firm submitted a Form 40-F to the SEC. This filing is a prerequisite for companies aiming to register securities in the U.S. market.
After the news broke, SOL Strategies’ stock climbed by 4.3%. The ‘HODL’ stock rose from 2.28 to 2.38. Though, Solana’s token price rose only slightly by 0.3% in the past hour.
As of now, the Solana token has decreased by 1.62%, trading at $146.38. Its market cap stands at $77.2 billion.
SOL Strategies recently purchased 26,478 SOL for $4.7 million, bringing its total holdings to 420,355 SOL.The firm plans to use recently secured funds of up to $500 million to accumulate more SOL tokens.
Originally named Cypherpunk Holdings inc., SOL Strategies shifted focus from a Bitcoin treasury to Solana in late October 2024.
