Japanese Firm Shocks Industry: CEO Now Paid in Bitcoin!

Japanese Firm Pays CEO in Bitcoin: A Milestone

Remixpoint, a Japanese consulting firm, has made history. It’s the first publicly listed company in Japan to pay its CEO entirely in Bitcoin. this bold move sets a new standard in the crypto world.

CEO Yoshihiko Takahashi chose to receive his salary in BTC. He believes this aligns him with the company’s crypto strategy. It also shows his commitment to the firm’s vision. Takahashi sees this as a way to unite with shareholders. He wants to be on the same page as shareholders.

Shareholders pushed for the company to hold its own stocks. This would tie the company’s success to shareholders. But due to insider trading rules, this wasn’t possible. So, paying the CEO in Bitcoin was the next best option.

By doing this, the company aims to align its economic goals with investors. This move could set a new trend in the corporate world.

Bitcoin’s price has seen some ups and downs. It dipped slightly by 0.45% in the past 24 hours. But it’s still up by 1.59% in the past week.

Many companies are now looking to hold Bitcoin. They issue shares and sell subscriptions to raise capital. remixpoint, however, is an early adopter. It started holding Bitcoin in September 2024.It now holds 1,051 BTC, worth about $114.03 million.
