Tether Partners with Rumble to Boost USAT Adoption
Tether, the leading stablecoin issuer,is teaming up with video streaming platform Rumble to promote its new U.S.-regulated stablecoin, USAT. This move aims to strengthen Tether’s presence in the American market.
CEO Paolo Ardoino announced the partnership at Token2049 in Singapore. Rumble, with 51 million monthly users, will soon launch a crypto wallet featuring USAT. This wallet, expected later this year, will give Rumble users easy access to the digital dollar.
The collaboration builds on Tether’s $775 million investment in Rumble last year, securing a 48% stake. As the U.S.stablecoin market heats up, Tether believes this integration will give USAT a competitive edge.
Ardoino sees Rumble’s wallet as crucial for future growth, not just for USAT but also for othre products like tokenized gold. This positions Rumble as a key distribution channel in Tether’s broader strategy.
Tether’s USAT on Rumble move is part of a larger effort to re-enter the U.S. market. After regulatory hurdles, including a $41 million fine in 2021,Tether launched USAT in September. The stablecoin complies with the GENIUS Act, a federal regulation for dollar-backed stablecoins.
With USAT,Tether aims to challenge rivals like Circle’s USDC in the race to dominate the American digital dollar space.
