Aptos CEO to Testify at Congressional Hearing on Digital Assets
Avery Ching, CEO of Aptos Labs, is set to testify at a U.S. Congress hearing on digital assets. The event, titled “American innovation and the Future of Digital Assets,” will take place on June 4. Ching’s participation highlights the growing importance of blockchain technology in the U.S. regulatory landscape.
Ching will discuss Aptos Labs’ role in the decentralized internet and the broader Layer 1 ecosystem. He aims to provide insights into real-world blockchain applications, token utility, and the need for clear regulations to foster innovation. His testimony will be part of the official record.
Following the proclamation,Aptos’ native token,APT,saw a notable boost. It rose by nearly 5%, reaching a peak of $4.96. At press time, APT was trading at $4.93, up 4.5% from its previous value. The token’s market cap stands at $3.1 billion, with a 20.9% increase in daily trading volume.
Ching is one of four experts invited to the hearing. Others include Michael Piwowar, Chelsea E. Pizzola, and Ryne Miller. Their testimonies will help shape the future of digital assets in the U.S.
