AI16Z’s Eliza v2 Beta Released, Token Still Struggling
AI16Z has launched teh beta version of ElizaOS v2, but the project’s meme token remains in a downtrend. Founder Shaw announced the release on X, cautioning users that it’s still in beta and more work is needed.
On January 16, Shaw highlighted the collaborative development of Eliza v2, involving both internal and external teams. The new version was initially in a private repository, with plans for community testing before moving to the main repository in about two months. this transition is pending the completion of beta testing.
Eliza v2 tackles a major challenge for AI agents: setting and following long-term goals without constant human intervention. It uses Hierarchical Task Networks (htns) to break down complex tasks into smaller steps, enabling AI agents to plan and act proactively.
However, AI16Z’s token price is down 12% in the past day, trading at $0.17. This is below the 20-day EMA of $0.24, indicating bearish momentum. The local support zone is around $0.15 – $0.17, with a current trading volume of 190K.
despite the ElizaOS beta release, there’s no sign of a bullish reversal. The token is 92% below its all-time high of $2.48, set on January 2.The focus remains on the final release of ElizaOS v2.
