cardano’s Hoskinson sees Collaborative Future with XRP for DeFi Expansion
Charles Hoskinson, the maker of Cardano, sees value in teamwork. Rather than competing, he believes ecosystems shoudl join forces. On September 3, he shared a video where he talked about possible collaborations, putting extra focus on XRP.
Hoskinson mentioned meeting Ripple’s leader, Brad Garlinghouse. They had a chance to chat thoroughly, both agreeing collaboration could benefit both sides. “It feels mature now,” Hoskinson added. The aim? To build a more connected and accessible DeFi space.
To prove this friendship extends beyond words, Cardano partnered recently with Midnight’s DUST airdrop. This includes XRP holders too. It’s a sign that Cardano wants bridges across communities, showing they’re open-minded towards integrating different tokens.
Considering the limited smart contract abilities of XRP and Bitcoin, Hoskinson sees Cardano as an ideal event layer. “we believe Cardano can cater to the DeFi needs of XRP and BTC users too,” he explains.
- Hoskinson met Garlinghouse at a Federal Reserve conference.
- Both agreed on better interaction between their projects.
- The Midnight airdrop included XRP, proving growing ties.
Cardano is focusing on teamwork over rivalry. Hoskinson’s goal is clear: use Cardano to bring different ecosystems under one roof, fostering a richer, more inclusive DeFi habitat.
