Coinbase Launches Bitcoin Rewards Card for Members

Coinbase is introducing the Coinbase One Card this fall. It offers up to 4% Bitcoin rewards on purchases.

Developed with American Express, the Coinbase One Card rewards users in bitcoin. Rewards start at 2% and increase based on assets held. It’s exclusive to Coinbase One members in the U.S., excluding territories.

Members can earn Bitcoin while spending on everyday items. The card supports fiat spending and crypto access. The mobile app works on Android and iOS.

Coinbase is also introducing a Basic membership tier for $4.99 monthly or $49.99 yearly.benefits include the card, zero trading fees on the first $500/month, up to 4.5% APY on USDC, and $10/month in sponsored smart wallet gas on Base.

this trend shows crypto exchanges creating branded payment cards for fiat spending. Kraken plans to launch Mastercard-powered debit cards in the U.K. and Europe. OKX partnered with Mastercard for the OKX Card, enabling stablecoin spending.

Other exchanges offer similar cards. Crypto.com’s Visa Card is available in multiple regions. bybit’s rewards card offers up to 10% cashback. MEXC provides a prepaid Mastercard for European users.
