CryptoQuant CEO Admits Mistake in Bitcoin Bull Cycle Prediction
CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju has admitted he was wrong about the end of Bitcoin’s bull cycle. In March 2025,Ju predicted a bearish or sideways trend for BTC. However,Bitcoin recently broke the $100k barrier on May 8,following President Trump’s declaration of a new U.K.trade deal.
Apologizing to his followers, Ju said, “I was incorrect. I’ll work harder to provide better analyses.” He noted that the market is now more diverse, with ETFs, microstrategy, and institutional investors playing significant roles.
Traditionally, the market was dominated by whales and retail investors. But now, Ju believes it’s crucial to focus on new liquidity from institutions and ETFs.”This influx can counteract even strong whale sell-offs,” he explained.
Despite the recent bullish price action, Ju sees the market in a transitional phase. “It’s neither bullish nor bearish right now,” he clarified. He still values on-chain data analysis for market direction.
At press time, BTC is trading at $102,773, up 3% in 24 hours. However, daily trading volume has dropped by 30% to $51 billion. Ju’s admission highlights the evolving nature of the crypto market.
