Google Updates Crypto Advertising Rules in EU
Starting mid-April,crypto businesses in the European Union must meet new rules to advertise on Google.These changes align with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.
From April 23, crypto exchanges and wallet providers must be licensed as Crypto-Asset Service providers.This license should come from a relevant national authority.Google’s new policy affects 30 EU countries, including germany, France, Italy, and Spain.
Advertisers must also comply with local laws and get Google certification. Some countries have a transition period. For example,Finland’s deadline is June 30,and Germany’s is December 30. After these dates, only MiCA licenses will be mandatory for Google ads.
