Japanese Retailer ANAP Adds More Bitcoin to Its Treasury
ANAP, a Japanese fashion retailer, has expanded its Bitcoin holdings. The company recently bought 27.5 BTC, pushing its total to about 153.4 BTC. This move brings ANAP closer to its goal of owning 1,000 BTC by August 2025.
ANAP spent around $2.9 million on this latest acquisition. This investment is part of its âBitcoin Businessâ strategy. The brand aims to own 1,000 BTC by next year. The recent purchase was made on June 12. It spent „432,716,235, or roughly $2.9 million, on the cryptocurrency. This latest buy-in reflects growing interest in Bitcoin among Japanese firms.
ANAPâs strategy includes buying Bitcoin and receiving a large in-kind contribution. With these combined, ANAP now holds around 738.37 BTC. To reach its 1,000 BTC goal, ANAP needs to buy another 261.63 BTC, worth about $28.1 million.
Other Japanese companies are also investing in Bitcoin.Metaplanet aims to own 210,000 BTC by 2027 and currently holds 8,888 BTC. Remixpoint, an energy consulting firm, recently approved a $7 million Bitcoin purchase, bringing its total investment to $84 million.
Bitcoinâs price has dipped slightly by 1.7% in the past 24 hours. It is currently trading at $107,405. The 24-hour trading volume is $34.1 million, and the market cap is $2.13 trillion.
