Superstate and Backpack Team Up to Tokenize Real U.S. stocks on Solana
Superstate,a blockchain startup, has teamed up with Backpack,a crypto wallet and exchange platform,to bring real U.S.stocks onto teh blockchain. This collaboration aims to make SEC-registered stocks available on Solana.
Superstate’s Opening bell platform will be integrated into Backpack’s Solana wallet and centralized exchange. This integration will allow non-U.S. investors to trade tokenized shares of U.S.-listed companies like NVIDIA and Tesla directly on the blockchain.
Unlike xStocks offered by platforms like Kraken, these are not custodial wrappers but actual SEC-registered equities. This means investors will have direct ownership, including rights to dividends and voting.
- Superstate and Backpack are the first to offer native on-chain stocks.
- Eligible non-U.S. investors can trade real shares 24/7.
- These stocks will confer the same rights as traditional shares.
Superstate and Backpack will soon announce the first group of supported stocks. Galaxy Digital has already partnered with Superstate to bring its GLXY stock onto Solana. These shares offer all the benefits of traditional stocks, including voting rights and dividends.
This move opens up new opportunities for investors to access major stocks listed on platforms like Nasdaq or the New York Stock Exchange, all within the crypto ecosystem.
