VERA teams Up with cheqd for Secure B2B Communications
VERA, a business dialog platform, has teamed up with cheqd, a decentralized identity tech provider.This partnership brings secure digital identity verification to business messaging.
In a recent announcement, VERA revealed it has integrated cheqd’s digital identity solutions. These include tools like Verifiable Credentials and AnonCreds. This integration enables VERA users to confirm the identity of other users instantly. It helps prevent fraud and speeds up processes in fields like construction, procurement, and finance.
Max Coleman,co-founder of VERA,highlighted the importance of this move. “Cheqd’s technology protects conversations and verifies identities. This is not only scalable and privacy-focused but also future-proof,” said Coleman.
Fraser Edwards,CEO of cheqd,shared his views on VERA’s solution. He said, “Fake invoices are a common problem. VERA’s solution verifies all participants. This is a big step forward for secure communication.”
VERA started a beta test in South Africa on June 1. It plans to release a full MVP by August. The company aims to expand into the US, UK, and EU markets.
Cheqd, founded in 2021, focuses on secure digital identity. It supports various standards, like Europe’s eIDAS 2.0. Cheqd’s technology also combats AI-generated deepfakes, which are a rising concern for online security.
